Nicole Dunas, MFA, Mac, E-RYT is a psychotherapist, an experienced, registered yoga teacher, and a writer. She has been practicing yoga and meditation since 1994, have been a devoted student of Hatha Yoga teacher Sofia Diaz since 2003, and have been blessed to study yoga with other masterful teachers in different traditions, namely Maty Ezrahty, Aadil Palkhivala, Rod Stryker, Jeanne Heileman and Mary Taylor. She has written articles for several online publications, such as Elephant Journal and Yoga Journal online, published the essay, “The Feeling of Beauty – A Yoga Project”, in Yoga-Philosophy For Everyone and will publish my essay, “From Darkness to Light” in Carolyn Costin’s forthcoming anthology, Yoga and Eating Disorders. As the founder of The Real Beauty Yoga Project©, she has spoken internationally on the correlation between yoga and beauty. She holds an MFA from the Bennington Writing Seminars, is in her third year of training in counseling psychology at the Pacifica Graduate Institute, and is a clinical intern at the Noeticus Counseling Center and Training Institute.
