Magical Mystery Detour

Friday October 27th 7:00pm – 9:30pm in the Chapel

Susan Campbell: The Anatomy of Emotional Triggers: Meeting The Shadow With Compassionate Witnessing

One of the most exciting aspects of relational leadership is the opportunity to mine our own shadows– to continually expand our capacity to hold space for emotional discomfort, fear, and pain. When we bring loving awareness to our disowned, projected, and rejected aspects, we embody the great developmental task of our time: “healing the divide.” Perhaps the biggest block or resistance we confront on this journey toward wholeness is our conditioning: our conditioned fear of some version of emotional discomfort; and the personality habits and beliefs we have adopted to protect us. In this presentation, I will describe some steps we can take in our own lives to work skillfully with our own emotional triggers. Then I will outline some things facilitators can do when triggering happens in a group.

Jamie Wheal: Communitas, Ecstasis, and the Extended Transformation Movement

Jamie is a leading expert on the neuro-physiology of human performance. His work ranges from Fortune 500 companies like Cisco, Google, and Nike, to the U.S. Naval War College and Red Bull. Hecombines a background in expeditionary leadership, wilderness medicine and surf rescue, with over a decade advising high-growth companies on strategy, execution and leadership. He speaks to diverse and high-performing communities such as Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), Summit Series, and MaiTai Global on the intersection of science and high performance. At the Flow Genome Project, he leads a team of the world’s top scientists, athletes and artists dedicated to mapping the genome of the peak-performance state known as Flow.

Gemma Wilcox: Magical Mystery Detour (Directed by Elizabeth Baron)

20 TIME BEST-OF-FEST AWARD-WINNER, Wilcox performs her sparkling multi-character, one-woman show, exploring the unexpected twists and turns of life, love and being on the road…

Magical Mystery Detour is a humorous, moving and highly original piece of physical theatre where Wilcox plays 23 characters – Human, Furry, Feathered, Mythical and Steel!

The play is set in the UK, in the summer of 2012. Prompted by a letter from her dead mother, the protagonist, Sandra, and her dog Solar, take an unexpected car journey from London to Land’s End, Cornwall at a pivotal and sensitive time in her life. The audience travel with Sandra from the UK’s capital and along sacred English countryside terrain, as she encounters magical, mysterious, archetypal characters and scenarios on the way. We journey with her as she struggles to accept the unplanned detours of life, love, and on the road (that she *thought* she was on)…

Gemma Wilcox (London, UK) is a multiple-award-winning playwright, performer and theatre producer who has been touring her critically acclaimed, multi-character one-woman shows for 15 years. Described by critics as “a shapeshifter extraordinaire” who “lights up the stage with integrity,” Wilcox creates highly physical theatre that authentically and courageously explores the multi-layered aspects of intimate relationship; both the mundane and the sacred. She has lived in Boulder, CO for the past 13 years, and is excited to launch upcoming workshops and programs supporting women manifesting their Creative Truth.

Tree of Life Art Workshop

Saturday October 28th 3:30pm – 5:00pm in the Studio

The tree of life is honored in science, religion, philosophy, and mythology. Its branches stretch toward the Universe. Its roots penetrating ever deeper into the Earth. In this 1h30 hour long workshop, we’ll focus through art on the different levels of our interconnected being (me, my tribe, the world and the cosmos). Discover how art can become a way of learning about ourselves when we create intuitive drawings of the Tree of Life. Take this opportunity to engage in the arts as they are a catalyst for our evolutionary growth at a personal level but also in culture as a whole.

Whatever your field or profession this art workshop welcomes you as it is designed to increase creative thinking, innovation capabilities, problem solving skills and offers a direct path to the beauty and vastness of the right brain.

No art experience is necessary but if you are an artist this workshop might be a source of inspiration for creating new pieces!

A small donation for art supplies will be asked during the workshop. Donate now using this link http://gaiaorion.com/shop/tree-of-life-workshop/.

Masquerade ~ Revelations on Parade

Saturday, October 28th 8:00pm – 2:00am

Join us as the Relational Leadership Summit 2017 hosts this year’s Halloween party at the Integral Center.

It’s been said that identity is a mask we wear that prevents real contact with other. Some of the most authentic connection we can experience involves allowing our identity to be seen for how it’s employed–enabling emancipation, intimacy, and choice. We can then choose to don our most appropriate identities, and dance within and without contact–free from dependence, allowing interdependence, and flourishing with flow.

At this time of the year when the veils are most thin, come don your internal and external masks as we gather with intention, explore opportunities with intuition, dance with invigoration, and celebrate inspiration.

Doors open at 8pm
+ Convening ~ opening together
+ Dissolving ~ music, dance, play
+ Reintegrating ~ closing together

Music and other offerings to be announced soon…

A special note:
To empower the transition of the IC & deep intentionality of the conference with every facet of our coherence, we will celebrate purposely without any chemical alteration, except, of course, the soma from each other’s genius, good company, and libations generously orchestrated by:
